I heard about this event this morning and then received an email about it also. Sounds like it won’t be too much longer before they begin the actual work on the road.

Yet another foggy morning – visibility about 100 meters. I can’t see the ocean nor the mountains from my house. If we have June weather in May, what comes next? It’s about 65 F outside at 8 am this morning, with a bright glare filtering through the fog.
Tropical depression One-E has become Tropical Storm Aletta with sustained winds of 40 mph. She’s heading west out into the ocean so no danger for Baja Sur. Today is the official start of the eastern Pacific hurricane season.

I returned from an overnight in La Paz and as I approached Todos Santos, I could see the misty haze and then FOG. Everything was clear until Todos Santos. I wanted to post this morning but also returned to a dead DSL modem which took most of the day to replace. I’ll make another post later about that adventure.
The photos (all taken around 8 am) should speak for themselves.

It’s turning out to be a busy posting day here in the fog of Las Tunas, Todos Santos. I just learned that Todos Santos is featured as a weekend escape in the current New York Magazine. (One notable irony – the author Krista Simmons plugs Bismarkcito in La Paz, the restaurant where the shooting occurred on Mexican Mother’s Day.)
