I drove the road yesterday. It is improving rapidly. I think by May it will be in decent shape except perhaps for work continuing on the many bridges. My best guess is fly into Cabo, you’ll be okay especially if you drive during daylight and by May the days will be longer.

Hello –
Came across your blog in an internet search re: road construction. We are hoping to head to the Todos Santos area in May, and are trying to figure out if we should pay extra and fly into La Paz and drive south to TS, or if we should get cheaper airfare and fly into Cabo and drive north to TS. Just wondering what your thoughts are on how the road might look in May 2012? Thanks for any feedback you might have.
